William Murchison, syndicated columnist and longtime commentator on religious, cultural, and political affairs, has contributed to many national publications, including the Wall Street Journal, National Review, The Weekly Standard, and First Things. Mortal Follies is the most recent of the four books he has written. Murchison has lectured and spoken widely on college campuses and in many other forums. A graduate of Stanford University and the University of Texas, he was an editor of The Dallas Morning News before retiring in 2001. He served as Radford Distinguished Professor of Journalism at Baylor University for five years.
